When the authorities and Child Protective Services drop the ball and the child who is being abused is not protected, it's time to move up the chain of command. Get in touch with the supervisor at CPS. If you don't get results, then contact your senate or congressional rep. But you mustn't assume that just because you aren't getting this girl to live with you that nothing is being done. Get this girl to contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the abuse she is still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to her. They are not a reporting agency. Visit their website by copying & pasting the following URL into your browser: http://www.childhelp.org/get_help

She can also contact a women's shelter for other resources. Good luck to you and this young woman. And bless you for caring so much and acting in order to protect her when others refuse. Thank you for sharing your son's girlfriend's story with my visitors and me.
