Sounds like the system has failed yet another precious child. April is Child Abuse Prevention month in the USA. Perhaps there is a way to bring this tragic case to light through local media or community attention in your area.
That is stupid that she is being ignored basically!!!!

The title of this comment pretty much sums it up. I'm not exactly aware of how the process of reporting child abuse is supposed to go, legally, but if not investigating cases of child abuse reported BY THE VICTIM isn't illegal, then it damn well should be. Have you reported this to the local police department? I can fully understand if you are not willing to trust our government further (I know I'm not), but if you haven't, then it is something you can do. Maybe I have too much faith in people (not to be confused with institutuions), but I might try publicizing this, if possible. Of course, I would not force you to take my advice even if I could (I honestly don't know how this could help, perhaps you do?). I deeply hope that any of this helps you at all. -Anonymous
