I know you submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

Of course you suffer from PTSD...who wouldn't after what you endured and witnessed. And I can certainly understand still living in fear of an abuser, even well into adulthood. I found that in order to counter those feelings of fear, I had to change my perspective. Change what I thought. And for me, that meant understanding that what I was thinking was from the place where I was still a little girl. When I realized that I was no longer that helpless little girl, that I was capable of power and control in my own life, that's when my healing began. Perhaps you can find your own healing path in much the same way. But you might not be able to do it alone, so please, consider some form of therapy to help you navigate through all your feelings and emotions. You didn't deserve to be abuse. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you were.

I send you love and healing energy, Nawal. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
