I know you submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

The foster system really did fail you. Everyone did.

Your message to parents is an important one, but it must also take into account that something has changed so that the reason the child was removed from the home in the first place isn't repeated. It can't be only about not giving up on the child. It must also include changing their own behaviour so that the child comes back to a safe environment.

You clearly weren't safe in the foster home. And I completely understand why you would blame your parents, even to this day. They were the ones who caused you to be removed. I can only hope you are now in a safe place, wherever that might be.
