To Pamela T:
by: Darlene - Webmaster

This pedophile wasn't having "sex with" your sister, he was sexually abusing her. And he took advantage of you in the same way. I do understand the guilt you're feeling; I have felt that guilt myself. It doesn't mean the guilt is well-placed. He was the one who did something wrong, not you. And yes, he very likely did the same thing to others, including his own birth children; sex abusers don't stop until they're made to stop.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. I send you love and heartfelt healing energy.

Feel Guilty Now - By: Pamela T. (my comment)
by: Anonymous

Pamela T - I am currently in emdr therapy & am facing now that not only did step-father molest me and my sister, my dad molested me too. I am in mid-session and am filled with so much guilt, shame, and depression trying to close in around me. I understand. I know intellectually - not my fault, yet betrayal of dad (ridiculous!) keeps playing in my mind. Thank you for your post/comment. Jade
