I hope you're in some form of counseling in order to help you deal with all the repercussions of what you endured. Your aunt has a lot to answer for if she knew and did nothing. About your uncle, the fact that he actually turned himself in for what he had done to you is more than just remarkable, it's almost unheard of. But if you expect to get answers from him, you're very likely going to be disappointed. You see, there are no good answers for why a child is abused. No matter what the answer is, it will never be good enough. Just understand that you didn't deserve to be abused and that your uncle is a sick and twisted human being for having done what he did. Get the help you need, someone who can help you put things into perspective, someone who can help you to move forward. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Always believe in yourself: You'll be the winner over your abuser
by: maurice

Amber S. just be proud of yourself; I shared my story in the hope it will help another to share, talk and tell on their abuser: It took courage, you are brave to be talking about what that twisted mind of an Uncle did to you: Darlene said a positive thing about him he admitted his guilt, his abuse of you: You Amber have still the effects of what he did to you: I hope you will act on Darlene's advice: Her loving, re-assuring and from her woman's heart to you will allow you to live your life to the full once you seek out some form of counselling: I will: I can: I must: WHY??? Amber S. all because I am worth it: Now get out there with your friends class-mates fellow students your own age and gender and take part in team sports, be sure to take part in your physical education program at school too. You'll open up a whole new way of seeing yourself: You have gifte, you have tallents; I've no doubt you have leadership qualities: share them and sho them off to your team mates and friends.
