My sincere apologies for taking so long to post. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. I do thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

I am SO happy that you are out of that relationship and that you're leaning on family and friends for the support you need now that it is over. It is THE way to get out.

That relationship and all you described of the way he started with seemingly loving compliments, then built up to gradually change everything about you, the dangerous levels of jealousy, the honeymoon period of the I'm-sorry-it-will-never-happen-again to eventually become the it's-happening-all-over-again aspect, all of it could the poster board for the cycle of violence that abusers use.

Jamie, keep believing you are worthy of dignity and respect in all your relationships. And as you heal from what you went through with this guy, trust will come back. And you will be able to trust yourself to make a healthy choice. Believe that. I am SO proud of you! And you should be REALLY proud of yourself for being strong enough to end it. It doesn't matter how it ended, only that it did. And that you are now safe.

I send you love and continued healing energy.
