To Kaila:
by: Darlene - Webmaster

I know you submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

You have been dealt a nasty hand, that's for sure. It would be lovely to still live in a world where dads (and moms) love their children , unconditionally and without hurting them. But that's not reality for most. It's not reality for you.

Your father has serious problems, problems that he not only needs help for, but he also needs to be in jail so he can't hurt anyone else.

You're being forced to grow up faster than many. There is nothing you can do to change what happened to you, Kaila. You can only choose how you're going to respond now that you have had these terrible experiences. Remember that you are strong. You are capable. And you ARE resilient. You CAN get through this and come out the other side of it stable, and be able to move forward in your life. I know this to be true. And I have faith in your abilities to get there.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. I send you continued healing energy.
