To Alaina:
by: Darlene - Webmaster

I know you submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

So much pain. So much betrayal. No wonder you have such a crap view of the world.

Alaina, the reality is that no matter what you're living through, only YOU can decide to overcome. Only YOU can choose to walk a different path. I know that the motivation isn't there...I've been in that deep dark place myself. And it's made so much worse by the fact that you're still living in hell, in a system that doesn't seem to give a damn. You've hardened, and understandably so. It's the way you protect yourself from having to deal with the emotional pain. I totally get it.

But at some point, you will reach an age where you'll be on your own. The path you're now following could very well lead you to the same place your mother went, keeping the circle of violence and abuse going. OR, you can choose something different for yourself...and that can start now by recognizing your value. By not falling into the trap of believing the lies about yourself. By deciding that you'll get educated so that you can move forward in your life. This IS within your reach, Alaina, but you must choose it.

I send you love and healing energy. My god, I send you so much healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
