Malaysia in the news for child abuse
by: Darlene Barriere

Just about every day, I read a headline about child abuse in Malaysia. Obviously, duty to report does not exist there. Obviously, attitudes need to change if there is any hope of dealing with child abuse before a child is battered and burned repeatedly. This commentary, though written from an unusual perspective, is a testament to that.

Thank you for being there for the boy. Victims need someone they can rely on and to love them unconditionally. Would you take him in and care for him?

Hie When this happen and the parents had divorce then it is bad for the dad to whack him and also doing the chores although there is maid and when he is in a angry mood then it is something that he should show love and not just whacking him and when this occur then it can lead the dad to a bad sight, but it is good that there is someone who cares for him and start to call to the police and give him a better life.

Can i know any hotline available to make report against child abuse in Malaysia? I would like to make such report and i do not know how. I rather not go to the police station since i am reporting on my neighbour. Appreciate if anyone could help me. Thank you.

I applaud that you want to intervene to help a child. Try the Childline number at 15999. I understand it operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
