Sexual abuse...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

What matters, Sharon, is that your sister's husband has sexually assaulted you. And yes, he is quite likely also sexually assaulting/abusing his children. You see, sex offenders do not change their ways. When they are attracted to children, they abuse any child they can get their hands on. Children at greatest risk are those who live in the same home as the offender. They must be stopped. HE must be stopped. What he is doing to you has nothing to do with him cheating on his wife. This is about sex offending with a minor child; it's NOT about an affair. And what he's doing is illegal; it's criminal. Check out some of the pages on this site for more information:What is so disturbing is that you have convinced yourself that you aren't worthy of dignity and respect, and that you are there to be sexually assaulted in exchange for money to pay the bills. THAT IS JUST PLAIN WRONG THINKING! You are worthy of so much more that is decent. Don't EVER think otherwise. Please contact Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about the sexual abuse you are dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. Call them when it's safe to call. They are not a reporting agency, but they can help you through the process of reporting. And you really do need to report him; otherwise, he will continue molesting other children. And for goodness sake, please stop thinking of yourself as an exchange for household money. There is always a better way. Please call Child Help.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
