You can't control what your partner thinks or chooses to see. You can only choose your own response to any of it. You can only choose your own actions. To marry this man is to continue to expose your children to further abuse. YES, he IS abusing them by abusing you. They are experiencing terrorizing by witnessing that abuse. Stand up for you and your children. Your partner will have to admit he needs help for himself; and if and when he does, then you can be there in a supportive role. Not before. In other words, you can't fix him. Please seek out some form of counseling in order to help you understand why you would want to marry someone who belittles and demeans you. You are worth more than that. And your children deserve more than that. Thank you for sharing yours and your partner's story with my visitors and me.

Prayers to you
by: Natalie

Miss Jones, You're story touched me. It's a difficult position to be in. It appears that you want to help him get a handle on his past in order to stop the hurt he causes you and your kids. It really is important for YOU to seek guidance for the sake of doing what's best for you and your kiddos.
I wish you the best of luck, stay strong and know this:
The words he says against you are not you're truth, they are a bi-product of his illness.
