I'm delighted you've found a safe place, a place where you can feel free to be yourself, a place where you feel loved. You deserve that. You ARE lovable, Linda. You ARE worthy of dignity and respect. Keep reaching for that. And just so you know, emotional abuse is the most difficult type of abuse to deal with. It causes the deepest scars and has the longest lasting effects. Please don't accept what your grandmother is saying: talk to a school counselor about what you are dealing with. You're worthy of getting help. If not the school, consider contacting Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) in order to talk to someone about what you are still dealing with. They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counselors who will listen to you. They are not a reporting agency, although they can help you through the process of reporting if you decide to disclose the abuse. Visit their website by copying & pasting the following URL into your browser: http://www.childhelp.org/get_help

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
