So glad you are now safe...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Jenny, I'm delighted to learn that your father is no longer treating you so poorly, and that the two of you are working toward a better relationship. You deserve to have a nurturing, loving and supportive father in your life. I hope you know that you and your brother are not to blame for any of the treatment your father inflicted. The problems were with him; not either of you. You were—you ARE—perfect as you are.

I am equally delighted that you are safe from that online predator. You showed a great deal of strength and courage reporting what was happening to you. You should be proud of yourself for that.

If you ever find that you need someone to talk to, a safe place is Kids Helpline here in Canada at 1-800-668-6868. They are staffed with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you and help you with your options. You can remain anonymous. Child Help based in the USA at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) is another safe place.

Your story can indeed show my visitors the dangers of including personal information to anyone online. Thank you for sharing your story about the pedophile.

I sincerely wish you all the best, dear.

To all my visitors: More information about online offending can be found on this site at Internet sex offenders, including links to site that provide safety information.
