Heroic actions...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Faith, your oldest sister was truly a hero! Thank goodness she had the presence of mind to act. She was more of an adult than anyone in your home. Her actions could well have saved the lives of each of you, including your mother. Your father is where he belongs, paying for his criminal behaviour.

Witnessing family violence leaves children with very deep scars on a multitude of levels. Your horrific childhood must have left you with emotional turmoil, emotional turmoil that is not reserved for just your oldest sister. While I'm delighted to learn that you are living a good life, I still urge you to seek out some form of counselling.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me, Faith.

A monster for a father
by: Linda

Faith, your story really touched my heart. Your abuser, I refuse to say: your father, because a real father wouldn't do the things he did to you and your sisters. I don't think they gave him enough years in jail for what he did. Your poor mother must really love you to take such a beating to get him out of your lives. Your sister deserves a happy life and I hope someday, soon, she gets it. Thank you for your story, Faith.
