I share your concern, and your all-important message that we must educate parents, adults actually. But even if this mother had been educated about child abuse and then educated her children, her obviously lack of regard for her "disabled" son would not likely have changed. I do hope she goes to prison for her crimes. As for information on child abuse, my site provides a great deal of that kind of information. One need only look at the navigation bar on the left hand margin to learn about emotional, physical and sexual abuse, as well as child neglect, and the effects and signs of each. Thank you for sharing this story and your message with my visitors and me.
