My mother went through child abuse

by Alyssa
(Florida, USA)

My mom was beaten up by her mom and she was told she was worthless and all of that stuff. She was dragged up the stairs by her hair and her head was slammed against the counter. She is 43 now, and has gotten through it. I don't think she went through counseling at all. God helped her get through it, and I thank Him so much.

You are a thoughtful and affectionate daughter...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

You've honoured your mother by posting on this website what she lived through as a child. It sounds as though she raised a thoughtful and affectionate daughter in you. Thank you for sharing, Alyssa.

I wish your mother—and you—continued happiness.

I know how you feel
by: Francine

Alyssa, my mom had been through the same thing as yours. I hate my grandparents for what they had done to my mom and how they completely destroyed my life! I know how you feel, Alyssa.
