Interested in subject of child abuse

I am a teen girl. I am very interested in child abuse. And when I say that, I don't mean that I like the stories I read. But I've read so many books about it all, and watched movies and it just captures me.

In a couple of year's time, I will be going to college and most likely studying child abuse in some way. I want to help people who have been abused; not just the children, but also the women and men being abused by their partners.

If someone who knows they are in an abusive relationship—or in fact, anyone at all who is being abused in any way—you must know that you are not alone. There are so many people that can help you. Talk to a friend or someone you can trust. If that's not an option, pick up the phone and call childline or sexline...any hotline that will help you. Don't be scared. There is nothing to be ashamed of. That talk or phone call will change your life forever!!

Good luck...thank you...xxx
