Child Abuse Averted

by Linda
(Indiana, USA)

I made the first step to forgiving my grandmother tonight. While she was yelling in my face I said I love you grandma and I'm sorry. I know God was there with me. Normally I would have been cussing her out and yelling right back. But i didn't. I'm very pleased with myself. But i couldn't have done it without God helping me. He is always there even when bad things happen to us. Somtimes they just have to happen. I mean if bad things don't happen to us then how would your view on life be? Not the same. Sometimes the bad things that happen to us happen for a reason. And i believe that's to bring us closer to God.
