No, you're not alone. Emotional abuse leaves very deep scars, and the wounds that brought about those scars can easily leave a person foggy, confused, and angry all the time. And anger brings on more aggression.

Your counselor did not follow protocol. He is mandated to inform the proper authorities when a disclosure of abuse happens. By calling your mother, he put you at great risk.

Karen, reach out to Child Help for someone to talk to. They're in a much better position to help you.

And just so you know, you CAN find that "happy ending", though it likely won't look the way you expect it to. It's in you, even though you can't find it just yet.
