You have such strength on so many levels. You got the better of him, so in his sick and twisted mind, he must destroy that. It is difficult for any sane person to wrap their mind around such thinking, but that is his reality.

I am heartened to hear that you are leaning on family for support. That's SO important during this time. If you haven't already reached out to The National Domestic Violence Hotline, consider doing so at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233). They have advocates available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week who can provide crisis intervention, escape planning, information and referrals to victims or anyone calling on their behalf.
