You're no "freak"...waterfalls, mountains, trees, flora and fauna, these are nature's natural de-stressors. Nature's arms takes us away from the hustle and bustle of life, and from the nastiness that sometimes comes along in life. I'm delighted that you've tapped into the beauty of it because nature touches the depths of our soul. When we're with nature, we're at peace. That peace can certainly feel like a hug. Thank you for sharing your peace with nature with my visitors and me.

If you can re-size some of your files, perhaps you'd like to re-post with photos.

were all hippy freaks
by: Scott 1

Hi

You are not a hippy freak. If seeking solitude and an end to inner turmoil makes you a hippy freak, then we are all hippy freaks.

I grew up in a house where long hair and individuality wasnt allowed, werent acceptable. A very old fasioned bunch. In my late 20's and 30's I on occasion had long hair and a ponytail. I like my hair long but its not accepted and the local watering hole soon had the local/yocals playing with it and making fun of me and them being "bounced." That was years ago. Where I come from being different and unique is not at all good. So now Im clean shaven, short neat hair and a sullen conformist robot. I seek quiet now from the crap of my past with the making of music, enjoyment of work, and trusted small group of friends. Whom I might add are witnesses to my abuse so many moons ago. We get along great now, weve grown, weve grown up!
My father hated hippies. He would say to anyone with long hair.." There goes a good for nothing, lazy, usless, long haired hippy!" He was like Archie Bunker but not the funny type.

I guess I grew my hair long to protest that crap. I now live in the quiet of the country where I grew up and wouldnt trade it for all the bright lights of the world. I seek solitude and quiet. I photgragh plants and animals. Im not a hippy. Never was, never wanted to be (-: ... Ive suggested this before on here.....I enjoy the music of Enya. Its relaxing to me and heavenly. Try it. Enya and a long bath.

by: maurice

You have found the surest way of de-stressing your lifes worries, cares, concernes: You sure feel good about yourself in what you have found gives you real opportunity and times to be free: to be your true self in your own company and away from the all seeing eyes and maddening world around you: I have found this to be the best form of meditation and acceptance of my true self being out in the middle of the woods by running water with not a soul around me: Just me, the sky and the natural calming sounds around me: I'm free to just be me: I do it quite regularly in all kinds of weather: I love the wind and the knowing that it helps me to let go and and let God's Creation and nature take me over: Freak, you sure ain't: you are part of a family who acccept The Arms of Nature are always open and free: So Always believe in yourself: I will: I can: I must: because I am WORTh it.have a healthy mind in a healthy body: With your friends and like-minded people your own age and gender take part in TEAM sports and sporting and cultural activities: I have a team of very close people who wander into he woods from time time to exercise and walk and be free to be free away from the maddening crowds: Thank You: Darlene sure gave you an affirming comment read it and take it to your heart as indeed did others:
