Not enough information...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Kelsey, I do not know if you are referring to child abuse. If it was child abuse:
  • I do not know what type of abuse was inflicted on this person (emotional child abuse for example would be nearly impossible to prove).
  • I do not know if you are referring to yourself or to someone else you wish to give advice to.
  • I do not know the age of the person to whom you are referring (whether or not the person is now an adult);
  • nor do I know the age of the person who committed the abuse (another minor, or an adult).
  • I do not know the relationship between the abuser and the person who was abused (babysitter, family member, close acquaintance).
  • I do not know if the person who was abused is still in danger of, or still being abused.
  • And I do not know the purpose behind wanting to report (for example, to prosecute the abuser).
Kelsey, the above are all relevant details if I am to provide an appropriate and thoughtful answer to the question you've asked of me.
