Relationship Violence Story From Lynne

Relationship Violence Story with a Happy Ending:
It was prom and i was super excited to be going with my boyfriend. The entire day and night were magical until we met up with my bf's dead end ex friends. They had been drinking and broke out a window in his car. My magical night began to turn into a horror story. My boyfriend was so angry he wanted to drive off and god only knows what to do but i figured he was going to purposly crash or drive like a complete idiot and i love him so i wanted to stop him. He did everything he could to pry me from that vehicle including slapping and choking me. I didnt budge though. He went on to call me a b***h and so many other nasty things. We finally made it back to his house where he literally threw up because he felt so guilty. After that night he made a change. He quit hanging out with bad influences. He went on his adhd medication and he works to control his anger. Where many abusers say theyll never do it again but they always do, my bf made the change and has never hurt me and its been nearly a year. He changed his whole life around and i just love him even more for it. I honestly know in my heart he learned from that night and it was a one time deal. My magical nite that turned to hell in an instant actually saved my bf from making more bad decisions. I will never condone his actions from that nite but he learned and is making a differance.
