Dania, given the history you have with Zach, the fact that the cycle of violence escalated to such extremes as to involve the court system, "moving on" may be much easier said than done, especially if this abuser is still trying to stay in your life. I don't know what's available to you as far as resources are concerned, but I suggest you contact a local woman's shelter to find out. Perhaps they can provide you with some numbers of agencies to call for help with all this.

In the meantime, I must say you are one strong young woman! Give yourself the credit you deserve and take a bow for having the intestinal fortitude to walk away from heinous abuse, for not allowing yourself to be manipulated and controlled, for not letting him get away with his crimes. The system certainly wasn't looking out for you, but you sure were.
