You wrote well, Mariam...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

You did very well stating your thoughts and feelings in English, which I gather is not your native tongue. While parents and elders do have more knowledge because of their years and experience, part of growing up is learning to make choices and decisions for yourself...and then living with the consequence of those choices. And parents must learn to let go and allow their children to make choices and decisions for themselves, as long as doing so does not put their children in danger. Respect goes both ways.

And just for the record, I think you are beautiful. You see, Mariam, true beauty comes from the inside; it comes from the heart. Physical beauty is only skin deep, but inner beauty glows; it will always outshine prettiness.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with my visitors and me.

For generation after generation this sound advice from whoever especially coming from teenagers and young adults
by: maurice

This needs to be said Maraim especially in the world we live in today. With all kinds of disfunctional families around us in todays world. The Parents/Guardians of children need to hear this loud and clear. Respect for themselves especially Mothers bearers of these beautiful children. Then respect for the Partner,The Husband, The Fathers of their beautiful children once that is in place then they will pass it on to the child or children in order for them to respect them back for loving and respecting them for who they are. Darlene as always Mariam is full of wisdom and genuine loving of all her visitors in what she says to them in her comment. If she say your beautiful I've no doubt that you are. One must first acknowledge the prettiness of the feamle before seeing the beauty that is within them. How true Darlene puts beauty for us. Thank you.
