I know you submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

I can't begin to imagine what it must be like, especially in today's political climate, to be an undocumented person who has suffered in the way you have. Not having access to support. Always in fear that if you disclose, you could be deported. And your abuser probably knew that all along, and took complete advantage. This could also be the hold he had on your mother, because she too might have feared deportation had she not allowed him to move in.

Healing comes in many forms. Disclosing is the start. And sharing with your mother what your feelings were/are about what happened, is also helpful. Knowing you are not alone is always cathartic.

I do hope you'll continue with healing, taking charge of your life in healthy ways. You can't change what this sick and twist person did to you, but you can make choices in your life that help you to move forward.

I send you love, light and healing energy. And I thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
