My sincere apologies for taking so long to post your story. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem.

It was abusive. Whether or not the courts will see it that way might be another thing. Sometimes it depends on the laws of the land, sometimes the prosecutor (whether or not they believe there is probability for conviction), and worse, sometimes it depends on the bias of the judge assigned to the case (which shouldn't be, but unfortunately, is a reality). Whatever you've decided to do, just KNOW that you and your sister WERE abused by these two. Justice may never happen, but that knowledge can help with your confusion. Try not to let what others say and judge determine how YOU feel or what you know to be true: they WERE abusers. And worse, based on what you wrote, I would go so far as to say that the man had a fetish that he hid under the guise of discipline. Your feelings and emotions are real, Jo. And there is good reason for them.

No matter what has happened or what will happen through a possible court case, you need healing in your life. Don't base that healing on the outcome of what you cannot control.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. I send you love and continued healing energy.

Hi. This was a common thing of the times. Dealing with it as abuse today seems the thing to do because today the entire attitude toward everything has changed. Not to label anything as right and wrong just looking at it through the glass of time. I myself have also dealt with these exact feelings. The feelings that today's views cause us to examine the past. One has to keep in mind that in the past some of this was more socially acceptable and "normal" These messed up feelings you have are common and confusing. Coming to terms with them inside of us is the process of accepting and loving us as we are, including mixed up feelings about a subject.

These days I tend to avoid taking over Darlene place by posting a link. Because I dont want to seem forceful in my views and maybe Darlene doesn't want it there. But Ill do it again anyway.
