Remember, BOTH men and women in your family were offenders
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Your message is an important one. Thank you for reinforcing that message for my visitors. Just don't forget that it wasn't just the men in your family who were molesters; there were women in your family who molested as well. So don't just be watchful of the men.

My brother
by: Anonymous

Yes, My brother molested both me and my sister as very young girls. I am middle age how and it is still hard to live with. I question him about it and he walk away from me more like ran away from me. It has been two years and I have never heard from him. Although he has worked for Birmingham, Al. and Midfield police departments. He thinks after all the years he owes nobody nothing.

Younger sister

From Darlene: I completely understand your need to name your abuser and to yell it from the rooftops, Anonymous. I only wish I could give you (and my other visitors) this opportunity without concern for reprisals, but the fact is, allowing full names of abusers to be printed on this site when there has been no conviction or even charges laid puts my integrity and what I do on this site at risk. I have therefore removed the name of your brother in your comments above. Please understand that doing so was in no way intended to invalidate what he did to you or the lifelong pain he has caused you. I hear your pain, I really and truly do.
