No website can tell you whether or not you were sexually abused as a child. At this point, even a professional wouldn't be able to tell you that with any real degree of certainty. When there are no memories, at best, one can only say behaviour and signs are consistent with X, whatever X is. Yes, sometimes the mind blocks out traumatic events. And yes, there are signs and behaviours that can point to the belief that one was sexually abused. But I will also tell you that as long as you believe something, you will act in ways that reinforce that belief. I strongly recommend that you seek out some form of counselling. Someone who can help you to sort out what's troubling you. I also caution you about seeking out a professional specifically to help unlock memories of sexual abuse. This approach may not be the best. Rather, keep an open mind when you go into a session. An open mind will yield better overall results than a closed one. Find someone who will work with you to move forward with you life now, regardless of what happened to you as a child. While I do appreciate that we as humans have an innate need to know what happened to us and where we come from, sometimes the knowing part is less about the Past, and more about knowing how to live life in the Present moment. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
