Got Proper Abused

by Trisha

I was landed into the Mercy Convent Moate Ireland. Where the pain and suffering went on in silence from the age of 6, when I started rocking and 'cause I was so afraid I started wetting the bed every night. There was room checks to see was everybody sleeping. One would wait in the hall and then would get you do things that has my life messed up. The daytime nuns would abuse you in many ways and bring ya down a priesthouse every Saturday.

One Friday, 'cause I didn't do what I was told, they left me in the shed with rats. I told one of the new staff when I was ten 'cause as I got older I come from school and stay in the dormitory! I didn't get slapped, I got proper abused. They put my head in the toilet every Wednesday. It was my bath day. If I didn't sit in the bath they would push me under water. I felt I was drowning. And they put soap in my mouth. They left marks on me that I have for life.

I remember everything about them nuns and priests and care staff. They should be locked up 'cause I'm still afraid to close my eyes and sleep. That's I can write for now.
