Keep on kicking!
by: Cathy (U. S. A.)

Darlene, you're right on about buddying up when walking. Chitchat diminishes the huffing and puffing that frequently occurs when an out-of-shape older person, who despises any form of exercise, takes on exercise walking or jogging. Years ago, I went from a size 20 to a size 6 just by walking a mile a day with a friend. We were so busy gabbing that we had no time to wipe our brow from exhaustion until our walk was over and done with. Instead of dating an ice-cream sundae, I'll take Darlene's advice and make a date to exercise. Darlene is to be commended for her Web site AND her dedication to keeping fit. Thanks, Dar!
