To Annie:

You submitted your story quite some time ago. I've been dealing with eye issues that have made reading online a major problem. My apologies for taking so long to post.

There are many different triggers that can bring repressed memories to the surface. Having your own child can be one of them.

And it's not at all uncommon for family to either deny what happened or insist on some kind of "proof". It's probably a very healthy thing that you broke off contact with this family member.

Double thumbs up to you for making a report against your father, even if it was all those years ago. I do hope you have a support system in place in order to deal with all the emotions that have and will revisit you. You certainly deserve that kind of support.

I send you love and continued healing energy, Annie. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
