The situation is a very difficult one when dealing with a sexually intrusive child. I don't know enough about the circumstances to comment one way or anther as to whether or not the case was childhood curiosity. However, when there is a 5-year difference in age, especially when the younger child is a toddler, the red flags are waving very strongly. One can only hope the 7-year-old boy is getting the help he needs to ensure the sexual intrusiveness stops. As for your son, keep his routine normal. If you notice behaviours that are disturbing, first and foremost stay calm. This is important so as not to upset your child. His ability to read you and your body language could cause more damage than you might imagine. Get him the help he needs if there are disturbing behaviours or if there are changes to his eating, sleeping or playing habits. He might not show any outward behavioral problems, just keep an eye out. If he starts being sexually intrusive himself, ensure he gets the right kind of help; someone with experience dealing with such sexual cases. I send you and your son love, light and positive energy, Kat. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
