I'm delighted that you and your children have a good quality of life. You didn't speak about how you've dealt with the memories of abuse, only that they surfaced. You may well find that as time moves on, and as you and your children reach the various ages and stages of life that you will be triggered. If that happens, please don't try to deal with it alone. Reach out for help. Seek out some form of counselling or therapy in order to deal with the repercussions of being so terribly betrayed by this sick and twisted excuse for a human being, and for being abandoned by your mother who didn't see the signs that this pedophile was sexually abusing you. It's not about blaming your mother as much as it's about dealing with all the feelings you must have experienced as a child. You didn't deserve to be sexually abused. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you were. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
