Yours is a very important message...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

You're so right: it is NEVER a child's fault that they are being abused. I'm very glad you've learned that for yourself.

Your teachers and counsellor were definitely heroes. Thankfully, you had such heroes in your life. I do hope your father will no longer be able to influence your siblings and that the law will see to it that he never harms another child.

Thank you for your honesty and for sharing so freely of yourself with my visitors and me. I wish you and your family all the best.

A Pervert for a Dad...and Refugees for the Ex-Mistresses
by: Francine

I'm sorry that you didn't have a good childhood. Strangely enough, I can relate to that so-called generation that your so-called dad tried to have; my parents wanted a generation in which a "good" beating and lots of name-callings were heartily accepted and encouraged. As for that pervert, I hope that he goes to prison because that is the only place that he deserves. As for one of your brothers, he really needs help; maybe a nice, friendly trip to the counsellor or therapy might help him out to get over all those horrendous things that your "dad" did to you guys cuz you guys (and even your mom and that pervert's mistresses) did nothing wrong. BTW, I am sorry that one of your beloved teachers died. Strangely enough, again, I can relate to that teacher's death; one of the P.E. teachers in the primary school that I used to go to died, too, and so did the tennis coach back in the high school that I, too, used to go to. I wish you all the best, dear, even though i also hope that you try therapy.
