Thank you for sharing your story and your all-important message with my visitors and me. You most definitely are an inspiration!

Mac, I just posted a story on this site from Laura4 asking for a support group in Orlando-Tampa. You mentioned having success with The Lamplighters. Given your experience with this group, perhaps you could recommend one for her in her area via a comment through her story page. But only if you're comfortable doing so.

Responce to Maurice

So proud of you! We are never too young or too old to get out from under the shroud of darkness abuse has enveloped us. And we do need the support of others who have shared the same journey. Until we are able to find our voices & be heard,it seems like it never happened.Reminded of the remark that if you're in Chicago, let's say, and a tree falls in China, just because you can't see it or hear it fall ,does that mean it didn't exist or happen ? Alot of what goes on around us we are unware of either because: we choose not to see it, too busy to notice, or perhaps so desenitized by the media, that things seem to be surreal to us, like the violence on tv ,etc., doesn't hurt, or doesn't really affect anyone, because it's just a show. Scripted or not, life's havoc & rubble, does devaste & have an impact upon those who see it, hear of it, or wittness it. Violence & abuse hurts....it's not supposed to be a form of entertainment. Keep the light of hope alive within you, & share it with those who understand,or for those who need hope.

Thank You: Good News: Victim to Victory

Knowing that it is another human being in pain from abuse at the other end of A Pen. A telephone, A computer becaomes easy to emphatise with that beautiful person when one has been abused oneself. Reading and reflecting on the stories and the loving re-assuring comments especially from the watchful steward of Her Site Darlene is uplifting to me. It gives me great hope to know we are all living our life to the best after suffering abuse. Depending on the form of abuse each visitor suffered relates on Darlene's safe haven site means there is someone out there who can emphatise with us in our pain. Also to kick Ass and move us on in our recovery and healing. Yes it is of little advantage if we do not allow and help each other to move on and let go of the effects and pain of abuse we suffered at the hands of thoughtless controlling Adults especially those who should ahave loved and cherished us. (parents) (guardians) (foster parents) (Step Fathers) All bad, Bad people. Hi We are the winners, we are living our lifes to the best of our ability. Thanks to the vision of Darlene who is our Angel from Heaven we can share in detail our abuse on her site knowing we do it for a reason. Our cry for help, She with her persoanl heartfelt comments give us that uplift to begin the process: She tells us I can't do it for you you must take the power of healing yourself into your life and take steps and action to break out and away from the effects abuse has had on our lives. Thanks Darlene.Thank you guys and gals for being brave enough to tell your story and for taking the time to give your uplifting comments. God Be With You all. I just received a text from my best friend. He was telling me a 3 year only child had died of parents who waited 7 years for a child. The mystery of life. It somewhat puts my pain from abuse into perspective for me. Being an only chld I sure feel and emphatise with those parents. Live well, laugh alot, love much, Have a healthy mind in a healthy body. Age has nothing to do with my encouragement to you: Have a healthy mind in a healthy body. We are human beings with a heart of gold for each other. Thanks Darlene.
