You weren't weak; you were afraid. Your abuser created that fear as a result of what he did to you and your brother. And knowing your mother would do nothing about it left you unprotected, and even more fearful. You were a vulnerable child, so don't judge yourself for the choices you made as that child. When we move through the various ages and stages of our lives, we gain more knowledge and less fear, which is when we realize we can speak out. This is what has happened to you. Your message is important, but not at the expense of beating yourself up about what you didn't do as a little girl. You survived the abuse, and in the end, your life got better as a result of your older brother stepping up to gain custody. Bless him for his strength and determination to keep you and your sister safe. But also understand that your message is that much stronger because you lived what you lived. This is turning pain into power...I hope you'll keep that up. Stay with counselling, and know that you as a little girl were stronger than you realize. You are NOW stronger than you realize. I send you all love, light and healing energy, Lucianna. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Lucianna, I can't believe that your mom would abandon you and your siblings to the so-called care of that sick monster of a stepdad and allow him to beat and berate you guys 24/7; how dare she! Shame on her for running away from you guys all the time instead of protecting you! Oh, and none of you caused her to "be miserable" and abuse you. I'm glad your brother is with you and your sister because he's so sweet for doing that; I just hope you try counselling and that you look into reporting that beast as well as your mom.
