You're so right when you say "that it is NEVER your fault" for being abused. That includes you, Teressa. I bristled when you wrote that you "egged" your mother on enough for her to abuse you. That's so not true. No matter what you did, she was the adult, you were the child. As your mother, it was her job to realize that something was wrong. You didn't cause her to abuse you; she chose to abuse you.

I'm delighted that you are now in a happy and safe place in your life. I still recommend you seek out some form of counselling or therapy in order to deal with the repercussions of what you endured as a child, then as an adult, and as a mother. You deserve that kind of help. I send you love, light and healing energy, Teressa. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
