None of what happened was your fault. You must stop blaming yourself for what happened. This "vicar" was a pedophile, and a skilled on at that. He took advantage of your age and vulnerabilities. It's called "grooming". And it sounds as though he had already done the same to the lad who came running when you were screaming. Try not to put mature adult values on what you did and didn't do while you were a child. That is so easy to do, because we forget that during those younger years we didn't have the wherewithal, knowledge or power to make any other decisions than the ones we made. I do hope you're in some form of counseling now. Counseling can help you to put what happened to you into perspective. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
