Of course it bothers you every day. Turning 21 doesn't miraculously change the effects of what you've had to endure. And as you go through the various ages and stages of your life, it will continue to manifest in ways that become more and more dysfunctional: relationships, school, work, ability to take care of your Self. Not all guys are like these ones. There are many caring and loving men out their. But what happens when we come from such abusive homes is that our ability to chose relationships that are healthy becomes skewed. We don't have the emotional compass to see the good ones, but rather, we unconsciously look for what we already have or are familiar with. We don't know how to set boundaries, which puts us at risk for even more abuse and assaults. You must reach out for whatever help is out there for you. You need to talk about this with someone you can trust, a professional. Please seek out some form of counselling or therapy in order to help you deal with the effects of being raped and assaulted by others. You didn't deserve to be mistreated and sexually abused. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you were. I send you love, light and positive energy, Sierra. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

Dear Sierra,
I just want to say that you are not alone.Your mother neglected to see what was happening.
By you writing your story out you need to know that you are believed and understood. You need to give yourself a chance to tell someone. You have done nothing wrong.Abuse is not a secret.Let it out.I encourage you to get councelling for yourself. It opens up doors of hope and helps to set you to become set free the way we should be.
Life has so much to offer. You can't just act happy.I have done that and then I remember just breaking down at a friends place or anywhere when I was just shopping I couldn't suppress the emotions any longer. My hurts just could't stay down anymore.I started councelling and it has really helped. There is a reason why there are councellors around you.Take advantage of it.Please let someone help you to proceed with the charges against your step father. You need supportive people to be with you.You are a lovely girl and deserve to laugh and smile with out pretending.I have eperience and wouldn't trade that for anything.Happiness is what is healthy.Crying is a cleansing.Anger is healthy as long as you use it the right way it is a good tool to have for expressing your feelings. Why?Because you are woth it.Keep blooming..........I wish you all the best.,

Rita M
