The need to apologize comes from the past, not the present...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Whatever you must do to protect your little girl, you do it without any kind of remorse or need to explain, as far as I'm concerned. A mother's intuition is strong; and for good reason. Rely on that intuition. If your father can't accept that, then it's his loss, in both distance from you and from his granddaughter. I have found that talking to family about such things is often rife with denials and minimizations. When this happens, talk to people who will listen. And I do hope you'll seek out some form of counselling in order to help you through whatever residual is left with you from your ordeal. Your daughter deserves to have her mother fully present and functioning. You deserve to lay the repercussions to rest. And your husband deserves to have a wife who is a full partner in every way. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
