The Horror

Samantha, your mom was deeply troubled and sadistic. It's good that you got out because she was too dangerous to be trusted. Oh, and she's wrong too. You're not evil; you're a good person; she's the one who is evil because only evil people would abuse their own flesh and blood (especially children). As for the "I wish you were never born" speech, it is the worst statement a parent can make to his/her child; that sends a strong message that the child is rejected, worthless and unlovable, but you're NOT any of those things, Samantha; you're, in fact, lovable; you're very important; you're worthwhile; never believe any of those soul-crushing lies. Mothers are supposed to love their children, not hurt them. I love you, even though I don't know you.
