I hear and feel your pain...
by: Darlene Barriere - Webmaster

Oh, Samantha, I hear the pain you are in; and I am so sorry for all that you've been through. You didn't—and DON'T—deserve to be treated so badly. You are a precious, good-hearted, compassionate young woman. Don't for one second believe otherwise. Don't ever believe anything that comes from the mouth of someone on drugs and/or alcohol; because, Samantha, it's not the person saying those things, it's the substance that has taken over their brains. That's not an excuse; it's an explanation. And the reason I'm giving you this explanation is because I want you to rise above the lies. I want you to focus on the wonderful characteristics that make up who you are. Stay in school, get your education, and stay true to yourself. There's no question in my mind that you have the internal strength to move forward with your life.

When you need someone to talk to, please consider contacting the people at Child Help at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453). They are staffed 24/7 with professionally trained counsellors who will listen to you. You so deserve to have someone listen to you, dear, you really do.

Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me. Stay strong.
