I just want to be clear...your stepdad did not "engage in sexual activities WITH you", he sexually abused you. At five years of age, you could not consent. He had all the control and all the power...he misused that power in vile ways. I can only hope your mother has gotten the help she needs in order to help her make better choices in her life, choices that won't continue to put you at risk. If you are still a minor child, please consider contacting ChildLine on 0800 1111 in order to talk to someone about what you've had to deal with. Visit their website by copying & pasting the following URL into your browser: http://www.donthideit.com

If you're now the age of majority, please consider some form of counselling or therapy in order to help you deal with the effects of being abused by more than one offender, as well as the betrayal and abandonment of your mother. You didn't deserve to be abused, Sally. You certainly deserve help for the fact that you were. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
