I'm so glad you told your aunt; that was very brave of you to tell. While your molester deserves to be behind bars for what he did to you (and is probably doing to other young victims), the most important thing is that you are now safe. I do hope you have access to some form of counselling to help you deal with what this so-called father did to you. You didn't deserve to be molested. You certainly deserve help now that you have. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

A step further?
by: KC

I know that I would never feel completely safe if the person who was hurting me didn't even recieve so much as a tap on the wrist. Maybe being away from him is enough for now, but maybe if you ever find the need you may consider looking into restraining orders. Who knows? Maybe if you are even able to find out about the procedures for restraining orders, doing so may put up red flags that will help them catch him before he can do it to others.
Every step you take to be safe from him is one more piece of your world that you've reclaimed for your self.
Be well.

Couragious Girl

Rachel, I am so glad that you are away from your father. Thank God for your aunt! How horrible for your father to pretend it was all right to do those things to you. Parents can be crazy and when they are it is our job to figure out how to do things better.

I am glad that you wrote and told about it. The courage it took to tell your aunt and to write about what happened will be good for you all of your life.

When you can, find some help through an incest therapy group or through some other counceling method. God bless you.
