You have nothing to feel embarrassed about or shame for. Embarrassment and shame belongs on the shoulders of your offender. You did nothing wrong. I'm very happy to hear you are no longer keeping the secret and that you are in therapy. Be open and honest during your sessions. Don't keep anything inside. The idea is to allow your Self to fully feel and express the emotions trapped inside your Self...and with that, they will eventually let you go. But as long as you continue to feel embarrassment or shame or any kind of guilt, and allow that embarrassment to stop you from being open and honest with your therapist, you will be doing your Self a disservice. Always remember that you were not to blame. As for the setbacks, know that this too shall pass. I send you love, light and healing energy. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
