Whatever you do, do not allow this pedophile anywhere near your daughter. She's at risk for sexual abuse at his hands. Sex offenders don't change their ways until they are made to, so do what you must in order to protect your daughter. I commend and applaud that you are going to college, and I hope you'll continue to move forward in your life. But you need help dealing with the effects (and denial) of the abuse you endured, both at this pedophiles hands and that of your family. You were betrayed and abandoned by the family members who were responsible for keeping you safe from harm. That fact will continue to haunt you as well, so I hope you'll consider seeking out some type of counseling. You deserve that kind of help, and your daughter deserves to have a mother who is healthy and present. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
