You don't have to worry about anyone leaving a comment about why you didn't tell or stop the abuse by so many people. The truth is, you were "groomed" to believe as you did: that you somehow deserved to be abused, offended against and mistreated. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. And you certainly didn't deserve to be abused in any way.

It's not unusual for adults in their 30's and 40's to "breakdown" as a result of all they endured as children, especially when there were so many offenders involved. Try not to think of what happened to you as a breakdown; think of it instead as a breakthrough, a breakthrough that allowed you to begin to deal with the repercussions of that horrible abuse.

Just one more thing I want to point out: 90% of all sexual abuse is done at the hands of someone the victim knows, especially family members and people whom the child is close to. It's ADULTS that have to learn this first and foremost. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.
