 None of what happened was your fault?

You said you "hate yourself for being so weak." I see you (as a child and now) as unbelievably strong. You did what you HAD to do in order to protect yourself from additional harm. And don't for one second think that you were the one who prevented the first pedophile from entering you; he didn't enter you because that wasn't the way he operated. As a child, you had no power; as the adult, he had all the power. Change what you think and you will automatically change how you feel which in turn will automatically change how your act. You did everything RIGHT as a child, because you did what you had to survive; and survive you did. You have children who you've kept safe because of your survival. Don't ever lose sight of that. Thank you for sharing your story with my visitors and me.

 What a monster!

Your mom (if one would even call her that) is very evil and had lots of problems. Too bad she died because she should've either got help for herself or been locked up in prison with your slimy excuse of an uncle together. Those animals were and still are to blame, not you because you did nothing wrong. I'm sorry for all the cruelty that you were force to go through; I can relate to being told to "shut up"...my dad used to say "shut up" to me and my brother as well. I hope you tried counselling.

 Celebrate Your Recovery

I can only say as a fellow survivor of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, I am sorry for the pain you sustained. I want this whole site to know that , there is a place you can go to be among fellow survivors. I lead a ministry group for women who have sustained physical, emotional and sexual abuse for Celebrate Recovery in my state of Maine. Celebrate Recovery has sites not only in the United States but in other countries as well.
I share my story with other women and how Christ has brought me through it and how I have learned to live beyond my painful past. For to me as a survivor, my choice is to inspire other survivors
to go on in victory.
